Together, we’re building a network of environmental and social resilience across Boston through community collaboration and the protection of local green space, prioritizing neighborhoods where there is inequitable access to parkland and its critical benefits.
We’re creating bright spots in a changing world.
Each food forest site in our coalition has its own stewardship team, comprised of neighborhood volunteers. Stewards take ownership of their food forest parks both in vision and maintenance — from picking apples to hosting cultural events to setting goals for the space.
Across the coalition we learn from and support one another in tending vibrant food forest parks, forming a network of mutual aid.
We believe that neighborhood stewards are the cornerstone of a more climate-resilient Boston, and a model of what's possible across the country.
