Join us for a hands-on learning by doing event as we install sheet-mulch and a polyculture around some of our young fruit trees at the Boston Food Forest site!
A polyculture consists of multiple species of herbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, all working together to maintain optimum health and growing conditions for your plants, benefitting the fruit/nut trees’ root health, and attracting pollinators and pest control. Plus, a polyculture is often beautiful, with flowering plants, and bountiful, providing additional food.
Please wear appropriate work clothing, and bring gardening gloves (we have a few extra).
Rain date is Sunday October 7, same time.
Suggested donation for this workshop is $10-$20. We will post options for donating soon.
