Speak for the Trees and the Boston Food Forest Coalition invite you to join Ben Crouch, urban orchardist and organic landscaper from Land of Plenty, to learn about how to grow your own fruit and nut trees. Ben will outline the steps and special considerations of urban fruit and nut trees, from selecting and siting trees just right for your space, to caring for them. Discussion will also focus about how trees grow in the varied conditions and environments of urban and suburban New England. Following the presentation we will put our new knowledge into practice, by planting five fruit trees at the Boston Nature Center.

Be sure to wear appropriate outdoor clothing esp. long pants and closed boots/shoes.

This event is FREE FOR ALL thanks to the generosity of the American Tower Corporation and Speak for the Trees.
Your RSVP is requested, as we have limited space. Please let us know if you have to cancel so we can open space for all interested individuals.
