Learn about how to get the most of the harvest in your food forest!
Learn how to use the foods your harvest from your food forest in your kitchen!
Morning:The fall is a busy time in the food forest – this is when your trees will be bearing their fruits and nuts. Come and learn how to keep an eye out for ripeness for optimal picking, and how to keep hungry critters from eating everything before you are able to get to it. In this workshop you will be harvesting food from an existing, mature food forest. Our instructor is the owner of a decades-old private food forest.
Afternoon: Of course an important objective of planting a food forest is…. to eat delicious food! In this workshop you will learn about ways to use and store your fall bounty, cooking from scratch with real food you have just harvested. The instructor is a permaculture teacher and homesteader.
You can take this course as part of the Applied Permaculture Series.
The location will be in Boston and will be added to this page closer to the event date.
