Dan Bensonoff will lead us in a permablitz, installing a garden in Kim’s yard. Bring your own lunch and gardening gloves, we provide all tools and materials.
Dan is an organic farmer and educator trained in permaculture working as the Research and Policy Director for NOFA.
– what we’ll be learning by doing: sheet mulching; soil test analysis; soil amendments (maybe); removing weedy vegetation and replacing with edibles, natives, and guild support species; (if we get enough help, I want to make some native bee housing to install)
– what we’ll be planting: blueberry hedge, peach, gooseberry, native groundcovers, native grasses, comfrey
PLEASE RSVP on Facebook so we can get a sense of how many folks to expect, thanks.
