Saturday, March 20th 2pm-5pm
How do you tend the fruit trees in your food forest or yard?
One of the most basic and critical gardening skills is pruning your fruit trees in the winter. In this workshop, you’ll learn the skills needed to prune your trees for better health and more abundant fruiting. Join our instructor Ben Crouch, owner of Land of Plenty Gardens, for this special workshop. Ben has years of experience tending trees and landscapes and has taught many pruning workshops.
This workshop will be at the Egleston Community Orchard located at 195 Boylston Street, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, 02130. Please arrive early to find a place to park in the neighborhood. There is no parking lot for the orchard.
*Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the event will be hosted with a maximum capacity of 25 people, including the instructor and BFFC staff. We will practice Covid-19 safety by remaining outdoors. (Wearing masks and social distancing are required).
**There will be no restrooms available at this workshop. No lunch will be provided. Please bring your own reusable water bottle.
***Dress for the weather! Unless it’s a hurricane, we’ll be out there having fun.
