Explore the fascinating world of forest fungi and learn a few techniques for growing your own gourmet varieties at home in this hands-on workshop. Participants will learn several methods for installing and creating mushroom growing areas.
Be prepared to get dirty! This will be a hands-on workshop and participants will put their newly acquired knowledge into practice as they work in the Organic Garden Project at Franklin Park Zoo.
Offered in partnership with the Boston Food Forest Coalition, this spring series of workshops and talks focus on urban sustainability and permaculture principles. Workshops are designed to provide participants with hands-on opportunities to put their newly acquired knowledge into practice.

-There is no cost to participate in this workshop, but pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Bring your BFFC membership card
-Participants should meet at 11:45 a.m. at the Zebra entrance at Franklin Park Zoo, located at One Franklin Park Road, Boston, MA 02121.
-In addition to the knowledge gained, these workshops are volunteer opportunities for participants. A chaperone is required for every three volunteers under the age of 18. Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
