Soil is the foundation of any vibrant garden or food forest. This workshop will cover the basics of soil health from a permaculture perspective. We’ll learn about the role soil plays in the greater ecosystem of a food forest, and discuss how to analyze, amend, and maintain soil to support healthy urban gardens.
The workshop will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday, April 17th at Ellington Community Food Forest (103 Ellington St, Boston, 02121), one of BFFC’s sites.The workshop will be taught by Restoring Roots, a cooperatively-owned, ecologically-focused landscaping organization.
*We will practice Covid-19 safety by remaining outdoors. Wearing masks and social distancing are required.
**There will be no restrooms available at this workshop.
