Saturday, March 27th 2pm-4pm

Which are beneficial plants and which are weeds? How do polyculture plants support each other and the biological habitat? How do we strengthen the resiliency of our plants (e.g., protecting fruit trees from peach borers)?
This workshop will be a 101 on what makes a food forest strong, how to identify your plants, how to care for them, and much more. The workshop will be taught at the Ellington Community Food Forest (103 Ellington St, Boston, 02121), one of BFFC’s sites (read more here). The workshop will be taught by Restoring Roots, a cooperatively-owned, ecologically-focused landscaping organization.

*Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the event will be hosted with a maximum capacity of 25 people, including the instructor and BFFC staff. We will practice Covid-19 safety by remaining outdoors. (Wearing masks and social distancing are required.)

**There will be no restrooms available at this workshop.

***Dress for the weather! Unless it’s a hurricane, we’ll be out there having fun.
