Spring Foraging Walk

  • Leland Cooperative Garden 4 Leland Street Boston, MA, 02130 United States (map)

Join us on a stroll where you’ll gain basic skills to identify some tasty wild edible plants common in urban settings within the Greater Boston Area. We’ll focus on ethical and safe foraging practices as well as culinary and medicinal applications.

This walk will be led by Maxwell Francke, the new Garden Programs Coordinator with The Trustees. Max has a background in sustainable agriculture and natural resources from UMass Amherst, and is a passionate nature explorer, hiker, and forager.

This program is available to all — no experience necessary — on a sliding scale fee.

This event is free for Leland gardeners and Boston Food Forest stewards, who can RSVP by emailing alice@bostonfoodforest.org.
