Weeding To Promote Plant Diversity

  • Boston Nature Center Food Forest 500 Walk Hill Street Boston, MA, 02126 United States (map)

Join BFFC and the stewardship team at the Boston Nature Center Food Forest for this 2-hour class on food forest and permaculture garden maintenance during high summer.

In this workshop, we’ll practice identifying native, invasive and beneficial plants, while discussing the benefits and pitfalls of each species we encounter. We’ll also learn about best practices for managing weeds in a permaculture setting, and we’ll discover options for filling empty spaces that our weeding leaves behind.

This workshop will be led by Ben Crouch, owner of Land of Plenty Gardening in Boston.
